Potthapāda

Today is the full moon of the tenth lunar month, Potthapāda. And within Samutthaan Winicchai's six season causative factors model, this brings about some significant changes.

The third season, Wasaanaa, has ended. Now the fourth season, Sarata, begins. It is still the rainy part of the year*.

Waata has been present as a causative factor for ~120 days and the dominant factor for ~60 days. It is now at the peak of its influence and the strongest it will be all year.

Bpitta has been present as a causative factor for ~240 days. With accumulation of Waata, bpitta now ceases to be a seasonal causative factor.

With the disappearance of Bpitta and the manifestation of Waata Semha now appears as the secondary causative factor. Its influence is very weak, but accumulating.

For the next ~20 days, until the sixth day of the waxing moon of Assayuja, Waata is the dominant causative factor and hatai waata is the Jao Reaun. Semha is secondary, and satthaka waata is tertiary.
