Āsālha
June 29th, 2026 (2569)
Today is the full moon of the eighth lunar month, Āsālha. And within Samutthaan Winicchai's six season causative factors model, this brings about some important changes.
The second season, Wasanta, has ended. Now the third season, Wasaanaa, begins.
Likewise the hot part of the year* has ended. Now the rainy part of the year begins.
Waata has been present as the secondary causative factor for ~60 days. Now with the dissipation of bpitta, waata takes over as the dominant causative factor. Its influence is middling, but accumulating.
Bpitta has been present as a causative factor for ~180 days and had been the dominant factor for ~120 days. With the accumulation of waata, bpitta now becomes the secondary causative factor. Its influence is middling, and dimisinshing.
For the next ~20 days, until the full moon of Āsālha, Waata is the dominant causative factor and hatai waata is the Jao Reaun. Bpitta is secondary, and satthaka waata is tertiary.
*Remember that dividing the year into three major sections (hot, cold, and rainy) is specific to the climate of Thailand.
