Visāka
May 1st, 2026 (2569)
Today is the full moon of the sixth lunar month, Visāka. And within Samutthaan Winicchai's six season causative factors model, this brings about some major changes.
The first season, Kimhanta, has ended. Now the second season, Wasanta, begins. It is still the hot part of the year*.
Bpitta has been present as a causative factor for ~120 days and had been the dominant factor for ~60 days. Now it reaches its peak manifestation, the strongest it will be all year.
Semha has been present as a causative factor for ~240 days. With Bpitta at its peak, semha now dissipates completely and ceases to be a seasonal causative factor.
With the complete dissipation of Semha, Waata now arises as the secondary causative factor. It is very weak, but accumulating.
For the next ~20 days, until the sixth day of the waxing moon of Jettha, Bpitta is the dominant causative factor and pattha bpitta is the Jao Reaun. Waata is secondary, and apattha bpitta is tertiary.
*Remember that dividing the year into three major sections (hot, cold, and rainy) is specific to the climate of Thailand.
