January 3rd, 2026 (2568)

Today is the full moon of the second lunar month, Phussa. According to Samutthaan Winicchai's six season causative factors model, some major shifts take place on this day.

The fifth season, Hemanta, has ended. Now the sixth season, Sisira, begins. It is still the cold part of year.*

Semha has been present as a secondary causative factor for ~120 days and is still the dominant causative factor, and now it reaches the peak manifestation of its influence.

Waata has been present as a causative factor for ~240 days and is has been the secondary causative factor for ~60 days. With the complete manifestation of Semha, Waata diminishes completely and ceases to be a seasonal causative factor for the next two seasons.

With the complete dissipation of Waata, Bpitta now arises as the secondary causative factor, though its influence is very weak.

For the next ~20 days, until the sixth day of the waxing moon of Māgha, Semha is the dominant causative factor and saw semha is the Jao Reaun. Bpittaa is secondary, and ura semha is tertiary.

*Remember that dividing the year into three major sections (hot, cold, and rainy) is specific to the climate of Thailand.
